ABOUT
ME
Passionate About Inspiring Others
I am Anila Jahangiri. I am originally from Pakistan and have been in United States for the past few decades. I have worked in the field of Systems and Biomedical Engineering, after my PhD, for about 15 years. Later on, the aftermath of 911 brought me to talking about Islam in the public sphere which prompted me to take my journey into the field of Theology.
I have been fortunate to study at Hartford Seminary, Brite Divinity School and The Islamic Seminary of America. I recently graduated with a MA in Religious Studies from Hartford International University. My focus was Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations. I volunteer at a few different places - namely, a listening support warmline for Muslim women, a K-12 Islamic school and a few other places. I am also a mother that has homeschooled my children at various stages of elementary, middle and high school education, all praise be to Allah.

The combination of Engineering and Theology has guided my approach towards Chaplaincy. I view it as a Philosophical Process but very much as an Objective Process too. For my couple's counseling technique, I utilize a strict methodical objective-based approach where the intention is to diagnose conflicts in a relationship and to solve them with guided techniques in the least amount of time. I use strategies based upon Quran and Sunnah, and sound secular psychological techniques.

I also teach Quran to non-Muslims in a virtual environment. These services are free of charge. I request that at least a group of 10 individuals sign up for the Quran course. I am open to teaching church groups. It's a 3-month long, 2hrs/week class where we cover the entire 114 Chapters of the Quran in their entirety. I can design classes based upon Seerah, Aqeedah, Fiqh or Tafseer for Muslims students/groups including homeschooling families.

Lest but not least, I am a Khalifah for Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala). Masha'Allah! Allahu Akbar!
